Local exhibitors have expressed confidence that this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) will provide them with a platform to expand their brands.
This year’s trade fair has seen an increase in attendance by direct exhibitors to 532 from 491 in the previous year.
The entire available space has been taken with an additional overflow provided for more exhibiting companies.
While international exhibitors stand at 16 with Belarus coming in for the first time and the United States of America (USA) returning after a three-year sabbatical, local exhibitors have also made their presence felt.
The fair has brought about a lot of excitement with exhibitors hopeful it will assist in building their brands as well as providing business opportunities.
Others spoke of the annual trade showcase as being important to the growth of their businesses.
With the country implementing turn-around strategies, local companies have been challenged to utilise such exhibitions to ensure they maximise on benefits from the fruits of the country’s efforts.
The ZITF, which is running under the theme: “Propagating Industrial Growth through Trade and Investment”, will this year be officially opened by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
